HVAC Equipments

Base Knowledge

    No specific background is required.

Teaching Methodologies

In theoretical classes a theoretical exposition of each subject is made.

In theoretical-practical classes, complementary theoretical concepts are taught and application exercises are executed.

In the laboratory component, specialized practical works are carried out, from the realization of an installation, to the analysis of the functioning and diagnosis of faults of the systems studied in the theoretical and theoretical-practical classes. Contact and use of the tools and equipment most used in this area is provided.

Learning Results

Teach fundamental concepts of thermodynamics that will support the subsequent transmission of knowledge about HVAC systems and the equipment that constitute them. This will allow students to analyze and understand HVAC systems in order to identify and resolve associated problems as well as to do several maintenance actions on them.

It is also intended that they become aware of the main tools and equipment used in the installation, repair and maintenance, as well as the most used measuring and diagnostic instruments.

The skills developed will make it possible to carry out the various types of maintenance of an HVAC installation, detect simple failures, carry out minor repairs and, as well as perform routine maintenance operations on any equipment in a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning system; In addition, you should be able to carry out, not only the installation of any component of an HVAC system, but also, if properly oriented, a complete system.
