Teaching Methodologies

The following teaching methodologies are used in this curricular unit:
interpretation and analysis of the legal provisions and exposure of contents by the teacher and its discussion with the students; resolution of practical real case studies and court decisions by the students.

Learning Results

It is expected that by the end of the course each student is entitled to know the terms of the substantive legal regime (and its enforcement) related to:
a) the enterprise;
b) constitution and management of companies;
c) the formation, execution and termination of the individual labour contract;
d) the consumer.

Program

Part I – Commercial law:
1. The company and the law. 2. Private and Public Companies. 3. Commercial companies.
Part II – Labor Law:
5. The individual labour contract. 6. Rights and duties of employer and employee. 7. Modification and extinction of the labor relationship.
Part III Consumer Law:
8. The legal regime applicable to consumer protection; 9. General contractual clauses; 10. Unfair commercial practices; 11. The law of essential public services; 12. Sale and guarantee of consumer goods.
