Teaching Methodologies

The methodologies used aim at autonomy in the study and integration of T knowledge in TP and PL context.

The lectures (T) are followed by classes to the presentation of works carried out autonomously following strategies of “guided discovery” (TP and PL).

 

The evaluation be performed by frequency (AF) or exam (AE) [200 points (p) = 20 values].

AF

1) Written test – 90 p;

2) TP work 1 – 40 p;

3) TP  work 2- 40 p;

4) Participation in classes – 10 p;

5) Participation in complementary activities – 20 p.

AE

1) Access to the AE is reserved for students who obtain at least 40 p in the somatory of the itens 2 and 3 of the AF.

2) The AE consists of a written test (200 p).

Learning Results

1. Know the main concepts, models and general methods of sports training.

2. Knowing the specific training methods for each of the training components.

3. Know and apply the concepts, theories and planning models related to: individual sporting careers, macrocycles, mesocycles training and micro cycles.

4.Know how to adapt plans of macrocycles, mesocycles, microcycles and sports training sessions to different ages and levels and sport performance.

5. Know specifics of the training methodology in individual sports.

6. Know specificities of the training methodology in collective sports.

2. General principles and explanatory models of the effects of physical training.

3. Components of sports training.

4. General methods of training.

5. Physical preparation in team sports and individual sports: specific training methods for each motor capacities.

6. Technical preparation in team sports and individual sports: objectives and specific methodologies.

7. Tactical preparation in team sports and individual sports: objectives and specific methodologies.

8. Planning and periodization in sports training in team sports and individual sports.

8.1. Preparation of training macrocycles, mesocycles and microcycles.

9. The sports training session.

9.1. Development of plans for sports training sessions in team sports and individual sports
