Teaching Methodologies

1) Verbal Methodologies (saying), using the following pedagogical resources: Presentation, Explanation and Dialogue;
2) Active Methodologies (doing), making use of pedagogical resources: carrying out group work.

Learning Results

The aim is to provide students with a global vision of the logistics function: procurement, physical distribution, as well as the entire supply chain. At the end of this course, students should be able to
a. Design organisational models of the logistics function.
b. Understand the importance of Logistics and Supply Chain Management for the competitiveness of companies.
c. Understand the trade-offs between different types of costs, namely information and communication systems, stocks, transport and facilities.
d. Plan, operationalize and lead integrated planning, storage, transport and stock management solutions, at supply and distribution level
e. Plan stock levels and design logistic systems.
