Teaching Methodologies

The classes will intersperse theoretical expositions on the contents, case analysis, demonstrations and practical exercises.

 

Students must opt for one of the following modalities: continuous/periodic assessment or final exam.

 

THE CONTINUOUS/PERIODIC ASSESSMENT will focus on two types of work: Exercises done in class (30%) and a Test (70%).

The FINAL EXAM will consist of a written test with a theoretical part (70%) with multiple choice questions and quick answer and a practical part (30%) with a problem to solve using the SPSS application.

Learning Results

It is intended that students can interpret the results of surveys and opinion polls and to use techniques for the elaboration of questionnaires, sampling and data processing.

Disciplinary Knowledge:

* Probability sampling techniques used in surveys and opinion polls

* Steps and problems in the construction of questionnaires

* Organization of research databases

* Analysis and interpretation of questionnaire results

* Presentation and communication of results

Professional Knowledge:

* Apply sampling techniques in specific cases of surveys and opinion polls

* Build questionnaires to collect data for concrete problems

* Organize and conduct an information gathering process for questionnaires and surveys

* Encode the answers to the questionnaire and build a database in SPSS

* Interpret statistical results using SPSS.

* Prepare a technical report.
