Teaching Methodologies

6.1Teaching strategies leading to the fulfillment of the curricular unit’s program:

Theoretical and practical classes, demonstrations, workshops and presentations; Critical reading on the post-media condition of photography and reference works.

6.2 The evaluation of the curricular unit will take place, by option of the student, in one of the following ways: – Continuous evaluation; – Exam. The evaluation in these modalities will obey criteria that will be explained in the proposal and/or other presented elements, according to the following components and weights: Continuous evaluation: Practical work carried out in the classes 20%; Practical work carried out outside the classes but with guidance from the teacher- 20%; Presentation of the Individual Photography Project with a weight of 60%. Evaluation by exam: Written test with weight of 40% and practical test with weight of 60%.

Learning Results

3.1 To know digital cameras, how it works and basic concepts: sensibility, white balance, aper-ture, shutter speed, focal distance, wide angle, normal and zoom lens, autofocus and manual fo-cus.
3.2 To explore image photography composition and angles of view.
3.3 To know and apply image digital and image ed-iting techniques;
3.4 To identify photography history reference pic-tures, and post media contemporary visual culture.
3.5 To make photography projects and portfolios based on a personal critical approach.
