Teaching Methodologies

The following teaching methodologies are used in this curricular unit: 1) Verbal methods (say), making use of the following educational resources: Exposition, Explanation and Dialogue;2) Intuitive Methodologies (show), making use of the following educational resources: Demo, Audiovisual Texts and Writings;3) Active methodologies (do), making use of the following educational resources: Exercises, debates about economic reality.

Learning Results

The discipline of economy aims to provide students with basic skills to understand the aggregated movements of contemporary market economies. The subject focuses on learning following results: a) Describe the macroeconomy as a science and to analyze the subject of macroeconomics. b) Identify the key macroeconomic variables and the main problems and macroeconomic issues, including unemployment, the business cycle, inflation. c) Measure and describe the overall functionning. Calculate the main macroeconomic aggregates. d) Understand and apply the concepts of microeconomics. e) To understand the methodology of logic economic of market . f) Solve simple problems using the methodology of economic logic and learned concepts.
