Learning Results

The Project aims to develop an applied research work, focusing on
the analysis in a real organizational reality. It is intended the application of knowledge
technical and scientific knowledge, seeking to test a theory in practice, the application of
management techniques and models, or design strategic and/or operational plans,
tending to verify its practical adequacy and understanding of business phenomena
specific.
The result could be the writing of a real organizational case, following the scientific method
in the modeling of reality, and must be of original and innovative creation, in accordance with the
case study methodology (Yin, 1994; 2001 and Stake, 2000). The choice must be up to you.
only about an organizational phenomenon with unique or singular contours, and at the same time
time to be isolated from its context and reflect a holistic view of organizational reality in
study. The case must also identify a problem or problems to be solved, and it must be a
critical and revealing work of complex phenomena, retaining the holistic characteristics of the
real life.
This modality may also consist in the elaboration of a development project
strategic or operational of a real company, tending to delineate the paths of
future development, for the whole or for part of the organization, that is, it can focus
in the proposal of measures of reorganization and global strategic reorientation, or to concentrate
in a specific functional area of the company when this is justified for the organization.

Program

Under the Master’s in Business Management, the internship re-port must include the following parts:
1. Introduction (Brief reference to the theoretical framework topic of the work, brief presentation of the welcoming entity, relevance of the internship, questions/problems pre-defined by the organization, objectives of the work carried out, highlighted problems and structure of the written text);
2. Theoretical framework (Review of scientific and technical literature regarding the theoretical topic, definition of adopted concepts, conceptual models, applicable techniques, reference authors, discussion and problematization of applicable topics);
3. Methodology (methods and techniques used in collecting in-formation about the entity, procedures and processing of in-formation);
4. Applied study (narrative of the company’s history, organiza-tional reality, strategic, functional and inter-relational analysis with a focus on the predominant functions in the company’s ac-tivity. 5. Presentation of the results obtained in the research ques-tions);
The general index, and eventual index of tables, figures and/or graphs will appear on page 4 and following;

6. Bibliographic references must be cited in the text, following the APA (American Psychological Association) 

7. All figures, graphs, tables, are included on the 50 pages and must be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals in the order they appear in the text. 

8. At the end of the body of the work and before the attach-ments or appendices, the bibliographical references must be listed, in general alphabetical order of the first author’s sur-name, sorted regardless of whether it is an article, book, book chapter or website.
