Teaching Methodologies
The teaching methodologies in this curricular unit are in the form of tutorials and project activities. Several topics/themes are proposed by the professors, which, following a selection process, will be assigned to the students. The teaching methodologies are based on active and collaborative learning in order to promote positive interdependence among students, fostering interpersonal skills development and encourage periodic selfevaluation of the project progress.
For the evaluation, the work developed and the public discussion (which includes the written report, oral presentation and public defense) are taken into account, with the final classification being the arithmetic average of the scores of these two components. Under the terms of the UC Project/Internship Regulation, the classification of each of these components will result from the application of the respective evaluation grid, in which several parameters are evaluated.
Learning Results
Objectives: Development of projects, systems / equipment or laboratory activities of medium / high complexity, under the guidance of a tutor or project advisor, aiming at the application of the subjects taught in the course, in the domain of the proposed theme / topicInternship in a company / research laboratory / institution that develops activity in the area of the course in which students will be accompanied by a supervisor of that entity in order to learn and participate in the tasks.
Skills: Design, execute, maintain, repair electrical, electronic, mechanical and / or computer systems / equipment with medical application.

The syllabus of the curricular unit is defined according to the project to be developed / internship to be carried out. For each project/internship, the objectives and work plan are defined.

Bibliography
Os orientadores disponibilizam as referências bibliográficas de base para cada projeto/estágio. Complementarmente, os alunos têm que pesquisar autonomamente outras referências e fontes de informação úteis para o desenvolvimento do projeto ou para a realização do estágio.
The professors/advisors provide to the students the key bibliography/references for each project / internship. Additionally, the students have to search autonomously other useful references and sources of information for the development of the project. or to carry out the internship
