Teaching Methodologies

The following teaching methodologies are used in this curricular unit
1) Verbal methods (say), making use of the following educational resources: Exposition, Explanation, Dialogue and questioning;
2) Intuitive Methodologies (show), making use of the following educational resources: Demo, Audiovisual, written texts.

Learning Results

a) Deepen the knowledge of real functions of real variables by mastering the basic mathematical techniques of differential and integral calculus on IR.
b) Master the matrix calculus, solve and discuss systems of linear equations using matrix representation and appropriate methods.
c) Collect and organize data, calculate measures of central tendency and dispersion, make correlations, compare sample data, and prepare and characterize market studies.

II. Introduction to Linear Algebra
2.1. Matrices; algebraic definition and operations.
2.2. Systems Resolution of Linear Equations – Gauss Method.
2.3. Determinant of a matrix.
2.4. Inversion of matrices.
III. Statistic
3.1. Statistical treatment of sample data.
3.2. Frequency distribution.
3.3. Measures of central tendency and measures of dispersion.
3.4. Bivariate data analysis.
3.5 Practical application to market studies.
