Teaching Methodologies

Classes assume a dynamic character and integrate a combination of systematized presentations of information and knowledge, with critical analysis, based on texts and practical exercises.
The student can choose between 2 types of assessment: continuous assessment and final exam.
Approval in the curricular unit is obtained with a minimum score of 10, in each of the assessment modalities.
Continuous assessment involves the presentation of a research project proposal, in the form of written work and oral presentation.
Assessment by final exam consists of a written knowledge assessment test, to be carried out in the respective assessment periods.

Learning Results

1. Know, master and apply the procedures and methodologies of qualitative/quantitative research in the field of Tourism:
a) Identify research problems, build and support a research project;
b) Select the most appropriate research design;
c) Select the universe and the sample;
d) Select, use and/or build quantitative/qualitative data collection techniques;
e) Identify the most appropriate data analysis techniques and software;
f) Interpret the information collected and communicate the research results to different audiences;
g) Solve problems and introduce into daily practice, both the results of their reflection on research practice and the results of scientific studies and research.
2. Develop a critical awareness of the results of research carried out by other researchers.
