Teaching Methodologies

The curricular consists of 25 theoretical-practical hours, organized in order to allow students to gradually acquire necessary and fundamental skills for a critical and reflective analysis about the organization of integrated IPI services and systems. For this purpose, expositive, demonstrative and active methods will be used, in order to transmit theoretical information and exemplify, whenever possible, with practical examples and through collaborative work of analysis of different texts and documents. In addition, practical exercises (in groups and / or individually) and case analysis will be used in order to awaken students’ initiative, discussion, reflection, group exchange and integration of the contents taught. .

Learning Results

This curricular unit intends to approach the collaboration process as the foundation of an effective integrated intervention, allowing the convergence of actions and the complementarity of the different subsystems and disciplinary areas, in order to be able to respond to the multiple needs of children and families in an integrated and comprehensive way. At the end of the course, the student must:

– Understand the early childhood intervention as an innovative model of integrated intervention;

– Understand collaboration and communication processes as key components in Iearly childhood intervention;

– To have knowledge about the transdisciplinary approach as a model of coordinated and coherent intervention in supporting families.
