Teaching Methodologies

In this curricular unit the following teaching methodologies are used:

1) Verbal Methodologies (say), making use of pedagogical resources: Exhibition, Explanation, Dialogue and questioning;

2) Intuitive Methodologies (show), making use of pedagogical resources: Demonstration, Audiovisual and Written Texts;

3) Practice of simulated context (Role-play), making use of keywords and technical vocabulary.

Learning Results

The English curricular unit aims to provide students with cognitive and communicational tools that allow them to perform better in terms of writing, understanding, listening and communication of contents, at a general and technical level.

Program

1. Diagnostic test (to assess the overall level of the class with regard to English language proficiency).

2. Grammar revision (which will take place throughout the course, complementing other contents).

3. English applied to new technologies.

4. Technical English in the job market.

5. ICT Technical English – research and production of a group assignment.
