Teaching Methodologies
The syllabus will be treated using two complementary methodologies: interpretation and spatial analysis, vector and matrix, visualization, cartographic production and exposure of the contents by the teacher and its discussion with the students; solving practical cases and by the students.
Learning Results
At the end of the course unit the student should be able to:
a) Know the national market for geographic information, data sources and the sector’s legislation;
b) Apply geographic information systems in territorial planning, urbanism, risks, economics and other social sciences;
c) Develop vector and raster spatial analysis methodologies;
d) Apply spatial analysis processes on various technological platforms.
