Teaching Methodologies

The curricular unit will be taught through theoretical and theoretical-practical classes.
Classes include exposition of the material, with examples presented by the teacher and practical work related to the themes in question.

Learning Results

At the end of this course unit, the student should be able to:
• Interpret the code of HTML pages, understanding the different tags and their function;
• Knowing how to apply modern design frameworks in the construction of web pages, with emphasis on dynamic adaptation depending on the type of device;
• Know how to interpret and apply blocks of javascript
• Knowing how to develop a web project
• Recognise the different interface accessibility validation metrics and know how to analyse them

Program

The curricular unit comprises the following contents:
1. Structuring of HTML pages, main tags and their semantics
2. Formatting HTML pages with CSS, main attributes and common mistakes
3. Responsive Web Design Theory
4. Advanced CSS and Media Queries Engines
5. Common frameworks and their use
6. Javascript Concepts
7. Development of a web project:
    1. Design. Cycles of ideation, analysis, development and iteration.
    2. Responsive and adaptive Web Design, for desktop and mobile.
    3. Accessibility analysis of an interface: approaches, data collection and analysis, validation metrics
