Learning Results
This course unit is designed to provide the necessary skills in WAN technologies, in relation to physical and link layers of the OSI model. Students should be able to (i) understand standards in the physical wiring, (ii) describe X.25, RDIS and Frame-Relay technologies, (iii) configure HDLC and PPP protocols, (iv) apply NAT/PAT concepts, (v) use virtual local area networks (VLAN), (vi) understand MPLS mechanism, (vii) use multiple frame tagging.
