Teaching Methodologies

Expository and demonstrative method, with activities such as role-plays, puzzles, dominoes or Kahoot in order to encourage students and facilitate learning. In almost all classes there will be drilling moments to practise speaking. Most of the lessons will have reading and/or writing exercises, as well as listening comprehension exercises. There will be matching exercises , filling-in spaces, associating pictures to words and vice-versa, and spontaneous production exercises, among others.

Objectives

The objectives of the course unit correspond to those described at Level 1 of the Common European Framework of the Council of Europe to foster language learning and to facilitate mobility.

Skills

Students will learn to use familiar, everyday expressions, read simple sentences aimed at satisfying concrete needs, learn to introduce themselves and others and to be able to ask and answer questions about personal details ,such as where they live, people they know and things they have.  They will be able to communicate in a simple way ,provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help

Learning Grammar Crucial Points.

The verb in the present tense, modal verbs, articles and declensions in the nominative and accusative, pronouns. Vocabulary learning.

People and travel, People and activities, living and living. Development of Textual Comprehension.

Reading dialogues, short simple texts. Developing Listening Skills.

Making notes referring to listening texts, identifying information heard; completing texts. Familiarisation with writing.

Very simple informal letter Use of language.

Introducing oneself and making mini dialogues from images.
