Teaching Methodologies
Guidance, monitoring and evaluation of the student are ensured jointly by the internship advisor (professor of ISEC that teaches at CTeSP) and the Supervisor (a professional designated by the host entity).
The internship takes place in the host entities.
Points 1 to 3 of Article 46 of Chapter VI of the Academic Regulation of the CTeSPs of the IPC specifies that:
The monitoring of the FCT component is the responsibility of a UOE Professor, designated as Advisor, who teaches the CTeSP.
The monitoring of the FCT component, in the Hosting Entity, is the responsibility of a Supervisor who is a qualified professional.
The orientation, monitoring and evaluation of the student’s performance are jointly ensured by the Advisor and the Supervisor in accordance with the Regulation.
Learning Results
Integrate students within the tasks of the company/host institution to develop their technical, social and interpersonal skills;
Apply and execute, under guidance, the knowledge acquired in the general and scientific as well as in the technical course units through the development of practical activities inserted in their professional profile;
Understand the planning and execution procedures of several specific operations from company/host institution;
Systematize procedures and optimize operational practices in the working context.
Program
The student should comply with an individual work plan established according to the activities of the Automotive Technology and Management area at the companies/host institutions.
The student is guided, monitored and evaluated by an Advisor, which is an IPC / ISEC teacher, and a company/host institution Supervisor.
Both the Advisor and the Supervisor will agree on the work plan, which is subject to prior approval of the scientific body and then passed on to the student. Periodically, they communicate and/or meet to evaluate the implementation of the work plan.
The student will always have to frame the production of an Internship report that should describe the developed activities.
The student will always have to comply with the number of hours defined for the Internship and compensate for the hours lost due to lack of attendance, regardless of the underlying cause.
Indicators of continuous performance evaluation (punctuality, quality of work, rigour and dexterity, work rhythm, application of safety standards, demonstration of initiative and social relationship) are considered in the evaluation, as well as the evaluation of the Internship report and its presentation and discussion with the Advisor and the Supervisor.
