Microaccreditation in Ethics, Law, Cybersafety and Data Protection

Course Objectives

Microaccreditation in Ethics, Law, Cybersecurity and Data Protection arises from the need for Ethics in the dialogic of the virtual space: the lack of Ethics as a regulator of the communicative interface. The actions of computing professionals change the world. To act responsibly, they must reflect on the broader impacts of their work, consistently supporting the public good. In the defense and protection of all members of the community, knowledge and understanding of current frameworks is necessary. This requires guiding the ethical conduct of all computer users, including current and aspiring professionals, instructors, students, influencers and anyone who uses computer technology in an impactful way. To do this, they must rely on the fundamental Ethical Principles that constitute a basis for recommendations, not only on Education and Attitude in the virtual space, but also on Courtesy and Civility. The aim is to raise awareness, promote and reinforce good practices of conduct and social responsibility, as well as some examples of Ethics applied to performance in virtual space.
