Teaching Methodologies

TP contents are presented in expository sessions. The PL is consolidated with the experience of the activity and situations of pedagogical practice.

Learning Results

1. Understand the specificity of the sports and fitness activities (history and evolution, current trends, range of activities, facilities and materials).
2. Plan and conduct the Aerobics activity, at a basic level, applying appropriate technics and choreographic methods adapted to the characteristics of the participants.
3. Adopt the intervention strategies more suitable to the specificity of the context.

1. Gyms sports practice.
2. Gyms and fitness sports activities spectrum.
3. Origin and evolution of the fitness concept.
4. Group fitness activities.
4.1. The music as a “tool work”.
4.2. The session type: structure.
4.3. Planification and choreographic writing.
4.4. The quality of the Group Exercise Fitness Instructor (GEFI).
5. Aerobics.
5.1. Origin, characteristics, objectives, benefits and equipment used.
5.2. Exercises, execution technique, critical components common errors.
5.3. Type session: structure, methodology of choreographic construction.
5.4. Specificity of pedagogical intervention (instruction, command orders, feedback, demonstration, communication, positioning).
5.5. Methodology of the choreographic construction: total piramid, pairs piramid, association, progression, addition and addition-subtraction.
