Clinical Placement in Clinical Physiology I

Base Knowledge

Ethical-deontological and technical-scientific knowledge taught at the UC Initiation to Clinical Physiology (1st Semester).

Hygiene, safety and behavior rules in the hospital environment.

Teaching Methodologies

The teaching methodology in this internship is done through the participatory and observational method in the places where the internship monitors usually work.

Students will be organized into groups of 2 students.

During the internship, the groups will be distributed by the internship valences and according to the availability defined by the collaborating entities and by the respective internship monitors, and only one group will be placed in each valence.

The duration of this internship will normally be one morning per valet.

The groups will be distributed by the internship valences in a rotation principle according to a previously approved schedule.

The internship plan is prepared by the Internship Coordinator in articulation with the collaborators of the curricular unit.

Students are under the responsibility and guardianship of the internship monitor, the latter being responsible for their learning, integration and well-being.

If it is not possible, the observational internships of some valences will be presented to the internship locations via Zoom, by the monitors who normally receive them in hospitals, as well as by the Professors responsible for the UC. Films of some techniques developed by professionals in these areas may also be shown.
