Base Knowledge

Mastery of the English language in terms of its rules or grammatical structures at an intermediate level is essential for success in this course.

Teaching Methodologies

Given the nature of the objectives and syllabus of this course, the teaching methodology chosen has the fundamental purpose of stimulating and optimising student learning. In this way, an active teaching methodology centred on the students will be favoured, for example through Problem based learning, Project based learning, Flipped classroom and Brainstorming.
Individual and small group work in class, as well as debates/discussions in class, will also be pedagogical strategies used in this subject.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The main objective of the English Applied to Business I course is to provide students with the necessary elements to enable them to use the English language satisfactorily as a privileged vehicle for communication in the business world.

COMPETENCES TO BE DEVELOPED BY STUDENTS

The aim of this course is for our students to be able to reconcile technical vocabulary and terminology specific to the areas of business and economic sciences with intermediate and advanced grammatical structures of the English language. In this way, this course also includes a revision, practice and consolidation of intermediate and advanced grammatical structures of the English language.
