Teaching Methodologies
Explanation of grammatical contents and vocabulary;
Worksheets/ consolidation of knowledge, in order to develop oral and written comprehension/expression, with exercises of a different nature (association / correspondence / completion of sentences / texts / questionnaires of true / false / multiple choice questionnaires / question/answer questionnaires);
Observation / oral description of images;
Listening to texts and video viewing;
Didactic conversation / “jeu de rôle”;
Pair/group work.
Learning Results
Improve the language skills to a B2 level. According to CEFR, at the end of the course, students should be able to:
- understand the main ideas of complex text on several topics;
- interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain;
- produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
Program
The course syllabus will cover the following topics:
- Work and education
- Lifestyles
- Money
- Technology
- Global issues
Each topic will include different types of activities to develop the four skills (written production, spoken production, reading comprehension and listening comprehension).
– Revision of the main points of grammar and functioning of the English language.
