Teaching Methodologies

In this curricular unit the following teaching methodologies are used:

1) Verbal Methodologies (say), making use of pedagogical resources: Exhibition, Explanation, Dialogue and questioning;
2) Intuitive Methodologies (show), making use of pedagogical resources: Demonstration, Audiovisual and Written Texts;
3) Practice of simulated context (Role-play), making use of keywords and technical vocabulary.

Learning Results

-Promote the development of oral and written skills in terms of interpretation, understanding, expression and production in English, demonstrating increasing autonomy in the use of communication skills.

-Mobilize the linguistic knowledge previously acquired and apply them in new learning situations.

-Improve the use of the English language, adapting it to the social and professional context of the trainees.

-Use the English language as a working tool.

-Enable an autonomous manipulation of the English language as a means of access to the correct use of Information and Communication Technologies.

-Improve the interpretation of scientific and technological material.

Program

Chapter 1:

– Personal presentation;

– Establish dialogues on employment and career;

– Establish dialogues about daily routine;

– The English language in the socio-professional daily life of the ICT technician;

-The English language and new technologies;

Chapter 2:

-Oral communication and written communication in English;

-The formal aspects (phonological, syntactic and lexical-semantic) of the English linguistic system – Interpretation and text production;

-Planning and development of individual projects in English;

-Written and oral presentation of these projects;

– Analysis and interpretation of technical documents.
