Teaching Methodologies
In this curricular unit the following teaching methodologies are used:
1) Verbal Methodologies (say), making use of pedagogical resources: Exhibition, Explanation, Dialogue and questioning;
2) Intuitive Methodologies (show), making use of pedagogical resources: Demonstration, Audiovisual and Written Texts;
3) Practice of simulated context (Role-play), making use of keywords and technical vocabulary.
Learning Results
It is intended to:
1. Promote the development of oral and written skills, in the understanding, speaking, reading and writing in English;
2. Apply previously acquired language skills;
3. Acquire and apply diverse vocabulary;
4. Critically analyze different types of statements;
5. Acquire techniques for planning and preparation of various textual typologies;
6. Produce oral and written statements, adapted to different communicative situations;
7. Acquire methods and techniques for research, registration and processing of information;
8. Establish basic conversations in English.
Program
1. English Language B2:
– Personal presentation;
– Establish dialogues on employment and career;
– Establish dialogues about daily routine;
– Establish various elementary conversations in English;
– Create dialogues about physical appearance, establishing comparisons;
– Acquire and apply vocabulary on new technologies;
– Talking about travelling, free time activities, sports and holidays;
– Express emotions using proper vocabulary;
– Issue personal opinions about English and American culture;
– Build varied texts;
2. Technical English for management and marketing:
– business letter;
– email;
– memorandum;
– business calls;
– Preparing business meetings;
– Analyzing technical documents.
