Learning Results

1. To know the specificities of agricultural production;
2. Organize agricultural work in its relation to the agricultural machinery;
3. Elaborate technical plans for agricultural exploration;
4. Characterize agricultural enterprises (AE) based on dimension, technical-economic and legal criteria, as well as
the extent of use of the main factors of production;
5. Knowing the cost structure of the AE;
6. Calculate indicators of economic performance of AE;
7. Analyze the economic viability of business plans based on partial and global budgets.

Program

a) Specificity of agricultural production; dependencies on soil and climate; seasonality; goals of exploration plans;
technical characterization of agricultural activities;
b) Type and characteristics of family and employed labor, planning and management of machine parks;
c) Planning of agricultural activities adjusted to known constraints;
d) Types and diversity of AE; physical and economic dimension, technical-economic orientation; aspects of farm
production , productivity and profitability of factors: capital, land, labor and business;
e) The cost structure of the AE; fixed and variable costs, actual and allocated, general and specific, cost allocation,
profitability thresholds, average and marginal, scale economies;
f) Analysis of results based on budgets, partial and global budgets; feasibility analysis on factor substitution;
g) Planning AE based on partial and global budgets, risk analysis and mitigation.
