Base Knowledge

Students must have knowledge about:

– macro and micro factors of the environment of companies and institutions that condition and dynamize the markets where they operate or play in an international and globalization context;

– the decision-making process at the management level, taking into account the different internal dimensions of the company;

– the competitive factors of companies and institutions.

Teaching Methodologies

Key concepts will be introduced in lectures and supported throughout with contemporary examples. The use of documentary video and current news stories will provide a contemporary dimension to the studies. Seminars will encourage group work and the practise of research skills. Group work will be encouraged in order to foster collaboration and team building skills.
The module will require both directed and independent learning. Directed learning will include reading and research in order to prepare for seminars and presentations. Guidance for these exercises will be given in classes and provided within the teaching and learning plan. Additional independent learning will also be encouraged and will include on-line learning materials, reading newspapers and business journals and watching international documentaries.
