The following teaching methodologies are used in this curricular unit:
interpretation and analysis of the legal provisions and exposure of contents by the teacher and its discussion with the students; resolution of practical real case studies and court decisions by the students.

The objectives of this course are:

a) Qualify for the analysis and application of legal regulations in force within the framework of property registration law;

b) Know and understand the land publicity derived from the registry;

c) Recognize the importance of the multifunctional land cadastre as an indispensable tool for understanding the structure of land ownership, for the identification of its owners and for the territorial management system;

d) Assess the registry implications of urban norms and decisions in urban matters;

e) Provide training for the interpretation of land registry certificates and for making land registration requests;

f) Know and analyze procedures of the cadastral information system.

III. Registry implications of urban norms and administrative acts in urban matters:

a)       Detailed zoning plans, subdivisions, fractioning and re-parcelling of the property;

b)       Other urban planning operations provided for in the Legal Regime for Urbanization and Building.
