Introductory knowledge of ethics and legislation, covered in the Curricular Unit of Introduction to Environmental Health.

Teaching Methodologies

The approach to the syllabus will have a concern for justified simplification given the fact that the recipients of this curricular unit do not have legal training.

 

Provision of legislative, doctrinal and jurisprudence documentation illustrating the themes addressed.

Learning Results

Objectives:

  • Know the genesis of Environmental Ethics and its applicability to the Environmental sector.
  • Know the Law, in its generality, and its application to the Environment.
  • Know the origin and evolution of Environmental Law at national and international level.
  • Know some specific areas of Environmental Law, and its links to Constitutional, Criminal, and Tax Law

  • Respect for the ethical principles of the environment
  • Orientation to problem solving based on ethical and legal principles
  • Ability to relate practical matters and the underlying legal issues
