Teaching Methodologies
The formation will be guided by practical intervention of body knowledge, enabling the discovery and body potential and capabilities and its limits. The contents will be discussed in combination with increasing level of complexity and treated to form links between theoretical knowledge (exposure and dialogue), experimentation, creation and observation / analysis.
This practical curricular unit will have an exclusively continuous evaluation [100% = 20 values]:
1) Practical tests- bodily/expressive performance of exercises/movement phrases (70%)
2) Laboratory work – choreographic composition (20%)
3) Participation (10%)
Under point 8 of article 13º of the Academic Regulation of the 1st cycle of studies at ESEC, the student must meet the following specific conditions for access to the exam: have attended 60% of the classes and in the continuums evaluation have a minimal classification of 50% in item 1) and 40% in item 2).
The exam have a practical test.
Learning Results
1. Providing the knowledge and control of the body, helping to achieve and develop corporal spontaneity, in its entirety or segmental level, through the practical experience of different dance forms.
2. Develop creative kinetics ability using the body to express ideas, feelings, sensations and thoughts, by recreating movements and choreographic forms of dance.
3. Mastering observation and reflection skills on the performance of the body leading capabilities to detect limiting factors and prescribe ways to overcome execution errors.
4. Knowing the terminology referring to the syllabus of the discipline.
