Knowledge and understanding of music as a social construct and as culture.

Teaching Methodologies

Experience and appropriation of conceptual components in close coordination with the development of musical skills-memory, motor skills, rating processes – through the use of personal and collective experimentation, based on activities in the following areas:

– Hearing music (active listening/memorization/registration).

– Musical interpretation.

– Creative expression.

Learning Results

1. To develop the knowledge and understanding of music as a social construct and as culture;

2. To listen, analyze, describe and understand the codes and conventions that constitute the musical vocabulary, through hearing, movement and vocal and instrumental practice;

3. To develop auditory sensitivity and discrimination;

4. To sing and play, using appropriate and contextualized musical techniques and practices;

5. Use and take ownership of differentiated forms of musical notation (conventional and unconventional).

Program

1. Musical culture – music as structural element of cultures and societies.

2. Musical theory and musical education:

2.1. Rhythm and melody: duration, meter, pitch.

2.2. Expressive elements: timbre, dynamics, agogics.

2.3. Formal elements: frase, patern, section, ostinato, binary and ternary forms, canon, rondo.

2.4. The musical code (conventional and non-conventional notation).

3. Vocal Practice:

3.1. Singing in school – proposals for methodological approach.

4. Movement and dance in musical expression.

5. Instrumental Practice:

5.1. Conventional and non-conventional instruments.

5.2. Orff instruments.

6. Active musical hearing.
