Teaching Methodologies

In order to achieve the objectives of the curricular unit and the competences provided to students, the teaching-learning process is based on:

1. In theoretical-practical classes in which the teacher transmits theoretical concepts, followed by practical application by the student;

2. In practical classes held in the school’s Biological Garden, where the student follows different cultures and where he performs the main cultural practices;

3. Preparation of field work, with observation and discussion, aiming at structuring and applying the acquired knowledge.

 

 

Learning Results

1. Have the concept of horticulture and its relevance in the economic and food context;

2. Knowing horticultural species and families;

3. Understand and apply methods of propagation of vegetables;

4. Know how to implement a vegetable garden in Organic Production (OP)

5. Perform horticultural maintenance tasks in OP.
