The Curricular Unit does not require basic knowledge.

Teaching Methodologies

The teaching-learning process is based on a combination of activities that use different methods appropriate to each type of content:
– Exhibit component of theoretical principles, using audiovisual media and using participatory exposure strategies, complemented with case study and targeted research work, individually or in groups.

– Practical application component, with analysis of practical cases, resolution of exercises, preparation of an applied project (in group), as well as tutorial guidance activities.

The following teaching-learning methodologies will be used:
1. Verbal Methodologies (say) / Intuitive Methodologies (show), Exhibition, Explanation, Dialogue. Expositive Methodology, using audiovisual media to explain programmatic contents.
2. Active Methodologies (do), Case Study. Active Methodology, through the resolution of practical cases and discussion of case studies and scientific articles.
3. Collaborative methodologies, through group work.

Learning Results

Throughout this curricular unit students will have the opportunity to explore relevant aspects of the theory and practice of contemporary management, deepening some topics addressing recent trends in this area. They should also understand the limits and contributions of the various scientific areas to the management knowledge body, distinguishing the theoretical body from management practices. Students should be able to make an approach to management as a field of study, exposing students to the main lines of research.  

– Characterize the new configurations /forms of business cooperation “business network”.

– Perceive innovation within a conceptual framework of internal processes and external links, analyzing collaborative experiences and open innovation Interpret the economic, social and market factors that facilitate business innovation.

– Understand the innovation cycle and identify the barriers and risks of innovation.

– Develop skills to manage, control, communicate and integrate skills based on up-to-date knowledge, critical capacity and creativity for innovation.

– Design and operationalize open innovation programs in co-creation with organizational stakeholders for the management of innovation within the organization and with its environment.

– Apply innovation concepts and indicators in the analysis of innovation systems and processes.

– Understand and interpret methodologies for managing the innovation process.
