The teaching of the course is based on recent bibliography and on experience gained through practice. The course’s pedagogy is strongly interactive. It seeks substantial student participation and know-how-based learning. Emphasis is placed on helping students report concepts, ideas and theories to current practice.

The proposed contents allow the student to know the main calculation procedures present in the scope of basic financial operations. In addition, they make it possible to apply these procedures to real-life situations, especially the calculation of civil and commercial interest to demand the fulfillment of pecuniary obligations (topics 1 and 2 and 3) and the assessment of insolvency proceedings and recovery plans of companies (topics 3, 4 and 5), with which the solicitor is supposed to come across in the exercise of his/her activity.
