Base Knowledge

Students are advised to be approved in all courses before the internship.

Teaching Methodologies

The theoretical concepts and knowledge acquired in the different courses are applied during the internship. Learning in a work context is another relevant component of the internship. From the teaching methodology. The internship plan is prepared by the external supervisor in collaboration with the student and ESAC supervisor. After the internship, the student writes a report and present it in a final oral exam.

Learning Results

Complementing students training through their contact with the different activities related to their future professional activity, preferably outside ESAC.

Program

The program depend on the proposed internship themes, which are intended to be developed so that the intern can intervene in the production processes in a perspective of prevention, pollution control, waste treatment, in the rational management of natural resources and promotion of hygiene and safety in the work environment; as well as in participatory decision-making with an environmental impact at a local/regional level. Thus, most of the internships can be integrated into one of the following work themes: pollution of water, air, soil and noise; ecosystem quality control; operation of wastewater and drinking water treatment systems; solid waste management; nature conservation; management of natural areas; environmental education; renewable energy; environmental impact assessment; integrated environmental management systems and environmental audits; preparation of environmental licensing requests.
