Master in Industrial Engineering and Management

Course Objectives

The Master Course in Industrial Engineering and Management is a broadband course, with a duration of four academic semesters, aimed at the manufacturing and service organizations that have a relevant industrial engineering component. In the last semester, students must do a thesis, project or an internship in a company.
The main objective is to provide the graduates a wide spectrum of industrial training, especially in the areas of Production, Maintenance, Logistics, Marketing and Finance, through:
   Integration of scientific, technological and management knowledge to solve problems in a multidisciplinary context;
   Management of people, assets, and financial resources;
   To use multi-disciplinary skills, in the areas of management, process, industrial, resources, systems, among others, to streamline the functioning of organizations;
   Teamwork, and make their coordination;
   Encourage skills to incorporate in professional work the latest technological innovations and management methodologies;
   Stimulate entrepreneurship and self-motivation;
   Provide trainees with skills and culture to the development of his professional activities;
   Encourage a spirit of citizenship and values.

Access to Superior Studies

Masters in Industrial Engineering and Management may apply for PhD’s degrees, especially those in the industrial engineering and management fields and other related scientific areas.
