Bachelor in Information Systems and Technologies

Course Objectives

This degree aims to train professionals qualified to analyze and understand the functioning of organizations, as well as conceive, develop and manage the adequate technological solutions, alone or in a team. The generic objectives are:
– Develop analysis and understanding skills in the areas of information management, human and material resources;
– Develop problem-solving skills using the necessary technological tools;
– Confer on the students the ability to manage the relevant information, so that they are able to propose and substantiate solutions and opinions, including in the analysis technical, social, scientific and ethical aspects;
– Develop skills that allow the students to communicate with different audiences;
– Develop skills to learn throughout life, with a high degree of autonomy.
– Develop leadership and teamwork skills
– Encourage entrepreneurship and innovation.

Access Conditions

In order to be admitted to this study cycle, applicant must:
– Hold a secondary education degree or legal binding equivalent;
– Attend the mandatory secondary school examinations demanded for the study cycle;
– Obtain in each of the admission exams the minimum required grade.
It is established a regional preference (30% of admissions) to the influence area, comprising the districts of Castelo Branco, Coimbra, Viseu and Guarda.

In addition to the above mentioned conditions, admissions are also possible in the following ways: special contests, special regimes, change of pair institution / course regime and re-admission system.
