Higher Technical Professional Course in Information Systems Technologies and Programming (Oliveira do Hospital)

The course aims to train technicians who, independently or in a team, are able to analyse, design, plan and develop solutions for Technologies and Programming of Information Systems and/or solutions for the integration of existing systems.

According to the provisions of Decree-Law no. 63/2016, of 13 September, the following can apply for enrolment in a Higher Professional Technical Course: a) holders of a secondary or legally equivalent qualification course; b) candidates approved through the admission regime for those over 23 years of age; c) holders of a technological specialization diploma, a higher professional technician diploma or a higher education degree.

The course aims to train professionals who can be quickly absorbed by the job market, namely who can integrate software development teams and also implement and adapt the Information Systems of technology-based companies and medium-sized companies that have an IT department. Information Technologies. Graduates must demonstrate autonomy in solving problems and have flexibility in adapting to new technologies.

Build IT applications for management of information systems. Design and handle a database aiming to solve business or other problems and supporting the respective information systems. Implement information systems based on Web technologies, using classic computer systems and mobile devices, namely mobile phones and tablets. Configure and manage information systems applications in organizations (ERP, CRM, logistics, etc.). Design systems integration architectures. Select the most appropriate technological solutions and the tools to be used in each specific situation.

The training given by the course gives access to the Degree in Computer Engineering taught by ESTGOH.
