Course Objectives

This master degree aims to provide advanced, innovative, demanding and profession-oriented training, promoting critical skills in management and agricultural sciences domain. Access Conditions

The master’s degree in Agricultural Company Management is mostly targeted at graduates in Management, Agricultural Science, Economics, Accounting, Engineering and other related areas. It may also be attended by holders of degrees in other areas, however it is mandatory that the candidates have relevant professional experience. Considering this is a professional master degree, it aims to train human resources with domain in a set of scientific and technical knowledge, which will contribute to the development of the levels of efficiency and effectiveness of agricultural enterprises.

The Masters in Agricultural Business Management may be entrepreneurs, setting up and managing their own agricultural enterprise, or they may be collaborators of other companies and organizations, such as functional directors, project managers, consultants, trainers and researchers.

Students should develop the following learning outcomes, among others : choose appropriate management methodologies to various types of business situations, master the process of identifying and evolving business strategies; interpret the surrounding conditions of the business and assess their impact on the company; to know how to create and manage a system of rigorous decision making; decide and act responsibly towards society and the various stakeholders, develop agricultural investment projects that can be funded, identify and solve problems in planning and management of agricultural enterprises; interpret and analyze the functioning of agricultural markets; to communicate with different audiences; promote forecasting, monitoring and the systematic management of business risk; design and apply various research techniques used in the social sciences; being committed to creating value and managing an efficient and effective implementation of actions and evaluate their progress .

Access to Superior Studies

The Master`s degree allows the entry into the third studies cycle which leads to the PhD.
